My purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the website.

Comments and other content submitted to Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on this website’s server unless they were marked as false positives, in which case they stored them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

I do however recognise there may be people reluctant to contact either of those organisations directly with information. Information can be submitted through this website and it will be treated in the strictest of confidence and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Any information I receive will be passed in full, in a timely manner, to the Major Crime Review Team (MCRT) at Avon & Somerset Police under the same conditions I receive it, respecting any conditions under which that information is provided, unless it is contrary to the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
